~~Utila Carnival (Carnaval De Utila)!!~~
After a few bumps in the road, Carnival is back on and now in progress! Utila Carnival 2010 is here!!
The Carnival is a multiday event, starting with the election of the Carnival Queen and then continuing with street parties throughout the island of Utila, which are generally held at Sandy Bay, The Point, Cola Mico. Final grand celebration is Saturday, with the parade through town in the morning and big party in the evening.
The Carnival Parade is one of the highlights of the week- especially as there are few actual cars on the island of Utila, the parade is a colleciton of golf carts, scooters, 4-wheelers, decked out with creativity.

Saturday, July 17: Election of the Carnaval queen
Tuesday, July 20: Tecno music at Chepes Beach
Wednesday, July 21: Coronation of the Carnaval Queen and Sandy Bay carnavalito
Thursday, July 22: The Point carnavalito
Friday, July 23: The Cola Mico carnavalito
Saturday, July 24: Carnival Parade, town center and The big carnaval party with Barefoot Band at Chepes Beach!
Sunday, July 25: The Coronation of Miss Playa
