The Utila Iguana (Ctenosaura bakeri) also known as Utila Swamper is the unofficial mascot of Utila, and there are 33 species of reptitels and amphibians to get to know too!  CLICK on image to left to learn more about Utila’s Iguanas and its cousins on Utila.

 
 

Birds of Utila:

We are lucky to be able to enjoy a variety of species of birds on Utila.  From forest birds to seabirds, shorebirds, and migrants. Whether a seasoned birder or no experience at all,spotting and identifying these animals can add much to your Utila experience. Here are a few resources to get you started:
